“Without the pen of Paine, the sword of Washington would have been wielded in vain.”

– Founder John Adams

Dear Editors,

You are lucky to be one of the seven states which allow unrestricted “write-in” voting. Moderate democrats should seriously be considering writing in a qualified candidate for U.S. President.

You probably agree that a qualified Commander-in-Chief (President) with any military experience would not have allowed the chaotic departure of our troops and civil servants from Afghanistan.

Security must be our primary government goal with the economy ranked second.  If your dead from a Russian missile, your need for shelter, food, and transportation has little meaning.

The Democratic Party has several leaders with military, business, and congressional experience. Check Wikipedia for biographies.  Good examples are Senator Mark Kelly, or Governor Wes Moore, or Senator Tammy Duckworth to name just three.

Let’s hope your readers may lead a write-in voting revolution.  The nation will thank them!

Sincerely,

James A. Schmitendorf, Lt Co USAF Retired
